An offshore company formation can be no different to any other business, the only disparity is the jurisdiction in which it has been established. An offshore company formation is usually in the form of an International Business Corporation, otherwise known as an IBC, and receives large tax advantages.

An IBC is a corporation that can do business anywhere it likes apart from its home country. There are consultants who will assist you in setting up your offshore company and advice on all the legal aspects required. They have many years of experience in setting up offshore company, offshore bank accounts, setting up a trust and so on. They also offer total privacy and guarantee that your accounts and personal details will remain secure and confidential.

Anyone in business these days realizes how difficult it is to make a profit no matter how hard you work and when you are paying out large amounts of your profit in the form of tax it can be frustrating. It is important to keep up to date with all the rules and regulations regarding tax and income, after all you don’t want the profits from your business being eaten up by the financial institutions and tax departments!

If you are considering setting up an offshore company then it is advised you look for a reliable and well established agency to help you. As well as having the relevant knowledge and experience they have the experience needed in this area and know all the laws and will be up to date on any changes in these laws. Your business relationship with the agency will be founded on trust, if an agency isn’t trustworthy they would soon be out of business themselves as no-one would want to do business with them. They can offer your company offshore banking and other professional services that go along with it. You are able to purchase a ready made offshore company if that is what you require with the agency providing a nominee director and nominee shareholder, or you can re-register the company and assign your own people as company director, secretary and shareholders. The choice is yours and can be fitted to suit your requirements. If you are concerned that the ready to trade offshore companies might have outstanding liabilities or have procured debts there is no need as the companies are clear of any trade or transactions since the day they were registered.

You are not required to actually live in the country where your offshore company is registered and that is why it is so popular with all types of industries. There are no restrictions placed on you based on your residence and who controls the company is entirely your decision, you can control it yourself or allocate an agent who is located on the offshore territory to take care of everything for you. Many industries that conduct trade all over the world do so through offshore international business centers and a large majority of the worlds hard currency is kept in offshore banks, much more than anyone realizes and this figure is likely to keep growing and developing for companies and individuals.

Many offshore banks have very strict rules on who they accept as their customers and contrary to popular belief they don’t accept just anyone as long as they have money! They have their reputation to maintain as a reliable and trustworthy financial institution and it would not be acceptable to them to allow criminals to use their services. Opening an offshore company can give you privacy or anonymity, the confidentiality laws of these jurisdictions are usually very strong and are a legal method of minimizing the tax amount you have to pay each year.

Many people set up offshore companies to protect their assets, if there is a liability case brought against them keeping their money offshore can make it more difficult for would-be creditors to get their hands on it. An offshore company can also be a way to save towards your retirement fund, better that money is in your pocket then the tax mans.

Globalisation, the expansion of intercontinental trade, technological advances and the increase in the number of companies dealing on the international stage have brought about a dramatic change in the frequency, context and means by which people from different cultural backgrounds interact.

Cross cultural solutions to international business demands are increasingly being viewed as a valid and necessary method in enhancing communication and interaction in and between companies, between companies and customers and between colleagues.

Cross cultural consultancies are involved in aiding companies to find solutions to the challenges cross cultural differences carry.

International and national businesses are ultimately the result of people. As with incompatible software, if people are running on different cultural coding, problems can occur. Cross cultural consultancies therefore concentrate their efforts on interpersonal communication.

Different cultures and cultural backgrounds between a highly diverse staff base brings with it obstacles, challenges and difficulties. Cross cultural differences manifest in general areas such as in behaviour, etiquette, norms, values, expressions, group mechanics and non-verbal communication. These cross cultural differences then follow on through to high level areas such as management styles, corporate culture, marketing, HR and PR.

In order to overcome potential pitfalls, specialist attention is required in the form of a cross cultural consultant. As one would approach a doctor for a medical diagnosis or an accountant to examine finances, cross cultural consultants offer the expertise, experience and know-how to diagnose problems and provide solutions to interpersonal cultural differences.

Within companies there are many facets in which cultural differences manifest. Some key areas which cross cultural consultants deal with include, but are not exclusive to, the following:

Cross Cultural HR: HR covers a wide range of business critical areas that need cross cultural analysis. Consultants may offer advice on a number of areas including recruitment, relocation, international assignments, staff retention and training programmes.

Cross Cultural Team-Building: in order to have a well functioning business unit within a company, communication is critical. Cross cultural consultants will provide tools and methods to promote staff integration, reduce cross cultural conflicts and build team spirit. This is essentially done through highlighting differences and building on strengths to ensure they are used positively.

Cross Cultural Synergy: international mergers, acquisitions and joint-ventures require people from different cultural backgrounds to harmonise in order to succeed. Cross cultural consultants counsel on group mechanics, communication styles, norms, values and integration processes.

Cross Cultural Awareness Training: working with colleagues, customers or clients from different cultural backgrounds, with different religions, values and etiquettes can occasionally lead to problems. Cross cultural awareness training is usually a generic introduction into a culture, country, region or religion. The aim is to equip the trainee with the adequate knowledge to deal comfortably with people from different cultures, avoiding misunderstandings and mistakes.

Cross Cultural Training for Expatriate Relocation: staff that travel overseas need to understand the cultural basics of the host country or region. Knowledge of the country’s history, culture, laws, traditions, business practices and social etiquettes all help to minimise the impact of culture shock and hence smooth their transition overseas.

Cross Cultural Negotiations: equipped with their knowledge of the two or more cultures that can be meeting around the negotiation table, a cross cultural consultant advises on areas such as negotiation strategies, styles, planning, closure and etiquette in order to increase the chance of a successful outcome, free from misunderstandings, suspicions and general cross cultural communication breakdown.

Cross Cultural PR Consultancy: brand image, public relations and advertising are all areas companies must be careful of when moving out of the national context. Tastes and values change dramatically from continent to continent. It is crucial to understand whether the brand name, image or advertising campaign is culturally applicable in the target country. Cross cultural consultants examine words, images, pictures, colours and symbols to ensure they fit well with the target culture.

Cross Cultural Language Training: Language training is an area where little investment is made by companies, but where the business advantages are great. Linguistic knowledge goes a long way in bridging cultural gaps and smoothing lines of communication. Cross cultural consultancies provide language training to business staff, moulding their learning to the business environment in which they work.

In conclusion, clearly the role and expertise of cross cultural communication consultants is important for today’s international business. The potential pitfalls cross cultural differences present to companies are extensive. In essence a cross cultural consultant’s primary objective is integration. This integration, between colleagues, clients and customers is crucial for business success. Equipped with experience, knowledge and above all objectivity, a cross cultural consultant creates bridges of understanding and opens lines of communication.

It is not just that ordinary people who work for others who are the ones that move, corporations and large establishments move too and not just within the country but to a new international location. There are many legal issues that you would have to handle to make this change and as most normal business houses do not have a clue about what is required, it is better to go to a corporate relocation firm who can give you all the information and the assistance too. If you go to a relocation corporate it will save you the trouble of making mistakes and you will be able to make the change from one country to another smoothly. This may cost you some money, but it will also save you from making some crucial errors that may cost you much more in the long run.

Know the regulations and laws of relocation

When your company has to be relocated to an international country elsewhere, it is very essential that you get to know the regulations and laws of doing so. You need to know the laws and regulations not just of the country you are moving to but also of the country where you were earlier located. These laws usually depend on the country and you will have to find out about it. An easy way to learn something about these laws is to search on the net and get to know more information. However, ensure that these sites on the net are updated regularly as the laws keep changing and it should not be that you are looking up something that is outdated and not valid any longer.

Get information from the local library too

You could also go to the local University library to get information on relocations laws and regulations for international moving. Libraries at the university have a lot of information and it will help you to study this. However, if you do not have the time for this, you could always get in touch with corporate relocation services and they will be able to get all the information for you. These firms normally have enough lawyers, project managers, and researchers who will be able to help you, as they are in the habit of helping companies like yours to do their international relocation which are a difficult and expensive exercise.

Do not depend on half baked information

In case you feel that someone from your own organization will be able to handle these issues, just remember that there is a lot to know, and there is no room to make mistakes and create major problems for yourself. So if you want things to be handled with no unforeseen issues and problems, it is better to hand over the job to those who know best, and these are the international relocation companies.

If you are an inventor or an entrepreneur, obtaining venture capital funding is most likely a major concern for you and your business. During the dot com boom, venture capitalists were fueling the growth, research, and ventures of many new companies. Now that the dot com boom has cooled, those worried about obtaining venture capital for business startup may have a more difficult time securing funding for their budding business.

Venture capital money can come in many different forms. There are actually companies that specialize in researching new companies to invest in, in order to earn a modest return on their investors money. These companies receive thousands of requests for funding monthly and may decide to fund one to two small start-ups a month. Some venture capital companies specialize in specific projects such as real estate or a technology based company. Many large, corporate construction projects are funded via some sort of venture capital agreement.

Another way to obtain venture capital for a business start up is through angel investors. An angel investor can be an individual or a group of investors that gather in order to decide which businesses have the most likely hood of succeeding. Once a business has been selected, the paperwork is drafted for the loan agreement and the business start up is funded by the individual or group angel investors. This method of obtaining venture capital for business startup may also be called hard money or hard money lending.

Recently, obtaining venture capital for business startup has come to reality television. The reality show focused on inventors that had developed a product for introduction to the retail market. The investor was coached and given seed money in order to fully develop their product. This competition played out over several months on reality television with a winner being chosen at the end. The winner was chose based upon how the judges rated the potential retail market success of the inventors product. This reality show was a neat little twist to the venture capital process.

If all of this has you a bit concerned or confused about obtaining venture capital for business startup, there is a bit of good news. The good news is that there is still capital available. If you have a solid business plan or product that you are seeking funding for, your chances are relatively high of getting the funding that you need. Venture capitalists may not be throwing money around like they once were but there is still money available for those that are deemed fit via a solid business plan.

often meet local business owners who say they want more international business but aren’t doing anything about it. When I ask them why they aren’t taking any actions to actually get more international clients there are basically two reactions:

* They insist they are doing all they can
* They make excuses based on potential barriers in the future

And yet, if the desire for international business expansion is real enough all it takes is setting up a simple action plan and repeating it until you get the answers you need.

This takes little time.

A persistent effort is all you need.

With curiosity.

Curiosity means questions.

Persistently ask questions. Don’t keep your questions to yourself. Look up and around you, ask questions all around. And follow up on the responses you get to ask more questions.

If you don’t get any response, look further afield, try changing your communication channels. Use the phone first, email, write a letter, go to places where you might find someone who can answer your questions, or who knows someone who can.

And then continue to ask questions.

Soon you will find the right person, or persons, to give you the answers to your questions. Maybe one answer at first, but the answers are out there.

This is business networking. This is market research in the field. And it works. As you continue to ask questions and talk to different people you will find the answers to all of the barriers you encounter along the way.

Small businesses or online businesses do not often take the time to set up a simple action plan to get more international clients.
